PCMag calls the Phone (3) Nothing’s best handset yet, praising its distinctive design, excellent bright screen, smooth performance, capable cameras, clean software, and revised Glyph system. It notes the lack of mmWave 5G and limited built-in AI, while concluding the phone is a remarkable, competitively priced option for buyers who want something different.

Ars Technica finds the Phone 3 to be a good, solidly built smartphone with snappy performance, well-designed Nothing OS, strong battery life, and an eye-catching Glyph Matrix. However, the Matrix is characterized as gimmicky, AI features are not very useful, cameras have shutter lag, and similarly priced phones offer better cameras, speed, or update support.

Engadget rates the Phone 3 as an intriguing phone with slick software, a large bright 120Hz display, a big battery, fast charging, and a more useful Glyph Matrix. Its verdict is tempered by erratic camera performance and a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor that falls short of true flagship silicon, making the device not quite a flagship despite its price and feature set.

WIRED says the Phone (3) is charming and unusually fun, highlighting its fresh design, useful Glyph Matrix, clean interface, bright display, flawless tested performance, good battery life, wireless charging, and satisfactory cameras. It concludes that the phone is not the most powerful or best-value option, with weaker low-light photography and a software-support policy behind Google and Samsung, but is appealing for buyers who value style and levity.
